Who am I?

I'm Ong Gabriel Riverine Susanto, also known as Riveong. I'm an adventurous software engineer and an ex-2023 Bangkit Academy cohort.

As a bachelor of informatics, I have a strong passion in software engineering. I am a lover of tech and all its wonders. I marvel at the power of backend development, mobile apps, UI/UX, and the infinite possibilities they offer. I delight in learning new things and expanding my horizons. I cherish writing, debugging, problem-solving, and working under pressure as art forms of expression and creativity.

Why the D&D Oathbreaker Paladin? Much like a Paladin who broke their oath to forge their own path, I believe in breaking standard conventions in technology. Being "Chaotic Lawful" represents my philosophy: coding requires strict logical discipline (Lawful), but solving complex problems often demands creative, outside-the-box disruption (Chaotic).

What do I do?

I do software engineering! I have done over 100+ projects. Here are my most notable works and professional experiences.

Techwaste

Contributing for making Techwaste E-waste management system, I made Techwaste Backend API using FastAPI, Over 22 Endpoints were created and deployed to GCP's CloudRun.

Perita

A social app to share your story. Allows you to share your story with the world. With Perita, you can create and share stories in a variety of formats, including text and photos. You can also see others story share your interests.

Tutoreal

A Private tutor app personalized with users' personalities. Contributing + my thesis title about personality based matchmaking between individuals. I made the backend with FastAPI, Using MAB concept.

Octavia

Octavia is a all in one cashier app with stock management, and warehouse management. Octavia can be defined as the app you need for your business. I made this project using Svelte (front-end) and FastAPI for the backend.

Istana Keramik

A website for selling ceramics and other building materials. Simple elegant and fast website made with html, css, javascript and svelte as the javascript framework.

Adivasa

A Website profile

Penjahit Trend Tailor Semarang

A Tailor landing page website, made with HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Using Sveltekit as the framework, I made this Modern concept website.

Getting bored of normal to do / jounaling apps, I tried to make my own to do app. I made it with Svelte and Express Js. Using sqlite as for the database.

How do I know tech?

Introduced to Tech

• Introduced to gaming console (playstation) on kindergarten
• Spent my time playing it

Elementary School

• Got a used pc from my uncle, addicted to video games 😭
• Love to operate the pc
• Learned how to use ms office, photoshop, pencil animation, Corel draw

Middle School

• Curious how does HTTP work, I made my first blog with blogspot and wordpress
• Made my first app (calculator) with MS Access Visual Basic
• Made simple games with gamemaker

Highschool

• Learned my first programming language ever! (Turbopascal)
• Learned how network works
• Learned html, css, js, php
• Internship on Elgibor Solution Semarang as a web designer
• Started freelance startup wannabe and founded Ubitoes (later renamed as Krotify), Developed various websites including: suryamediaadvertising.com, istanakeramik.com, adivasa.com

College

• Majored in Computer Science, Graduated in 2024 with 3.4 GPA
• Built several full-stack web applications
• Built ERP for Istana Keramik Purworejo
• Participated in coding competitions
• Joined Bangkit Academy led by Google, Goto, Traveloka as a Cloud Computing Cohort
• Created the beloved Techwaste, E-waste management system with teams! (as the infra / devops)
• Joined Bangkit Academy led by Google, Goto, Traveloka as a Mobile Developer Cohort Graduated with distinction! Scored top 10% from over thousands cohorts
• Created Animalink, Moderated animal marketplace (as the mobile developer)

After College - 2024

• Became mentor for Bangkit Academy helped Bangkit to achieved 91% graduation rate
• Working as a fullstack developer for Corporate Training and Development Department @ PT. Sukanda Djaya - Diamond Group
• Created Kahoot uid generator for Diamond Group
• Modified E-learning for Diamond Group for better readibility and user experience
• Created product knowledge exam system with gamification features such as reward exchange and more. Also created monthly report with charts dashboard for the exam system
• Still active freelancing with my beloved krotify.com

The Reckoning (2025 - Present)

• Joined Indomaret Group as a Fulfillment Frontend Engineer
• Developing cargo systems, fulfillment systems, and documentation systems from a frontend-focused perspective
